Many students graduate high school and college and expect to land the job of their dreams right away. The reality is that this just does not happen most of the time. It usually takes years of experience in a particular field before one can move up to the job of their dreams. Right away after graduation it can take some time to even land a job in their field of interest.

The best advise to recent high school and college grads is to take any job as soon as possible for the ability to make money. It is not wise to spend time unemployed because employers do not like to see this on resumes. Being employed is also necessary for building savings. Even a low paying job that is not in a graduate’s field of interest can generate money that can be put away into a savings account. This saved money can be used in the future to grow a business or to put toward living expenses when one lands a perfect job and has to move away to another city. While the graduate has this paying job they can use their free time to look for that perfect job.
